Why Master Trainer? 


Master Trainers allow for greater sustainability and quality control within organizations and systems delivering the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP). As a CDC approved training entity, the BWHI Change Agency prepares qualified Lifestyle Coaches to serve as Master Trainers preparing coaches to facilitate the National DPP groups in-person and in distance learning delivery.

 

ELIGIBILITY

TO BE A MASTER TRAINER, YOU MUST:

MAKING A DIFFERENCE AS A BWHI MASTER TRAINER

This training is intended for individuals that will contract with the BWHI Change Agency training entity. It is not intended to prepare independent trainers that are not affiliated with a CDC recognized National DPP or training entity.

ELIGIBILITY #1

Have been formally trained as a Lifestyle Coach by a CDC approved National DPP training entity (listed on the CDC website).

ELIGIBILITY #2

Have facilitated at least two (2) cohorts through the year-long lifestyle change program, one within the year prior to application date.

ELIGIBILITY #3

Work for an organization that has pending, preliminary, full recognition or full plus Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPRP) recognition.

ELIGIBILITY #4

Have a letter of recommendation from representative of a National DPP program provider.

ELIGIBILITY #5

Complete the interview process and be selected to be a contractor with the BWHI Change Agency Training entity.

ELIGIBILITY #6

Be available to facilitate a training within 6 months of Master Trainer training completion.

Completion of the BWHI Change Agency Master Trainer Training  application and interview process is required to be considered for the training!
